GMKtec EVO-X5 mini-PC leaks with AMD Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 Gorgon Halo
An unannounced GMKtec EVO-X5 appeared in Geekbench with AMD's Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 — 16 cores, a 5.24 GHz boost and Radeon 8065S graphics with 128GB installed.

An unannounced GMKtec EVO-X5 mini-PC has surfaced in the Geekbench database with AMD's Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processor. The benchmark identifies both the system and the motherboard as EVO-X5, but GMKtec has not announced this model yet.
The chip behind it is the Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495, the fastest SKU in AMD's Ryzen AI Max PRO 400 series, codenamed Gorgon Halo. It is a refresh of Strix Halo on the same Zen 5 CPU and RDNA 3.5 GPU architectures: 16 cores and 32 threads boosting to 5.2 GHz, Radeon 8065S graphics with 40 compute units at up to 3.0 GHz, and an XDNA 2 NPU rated at up to 55 TOPS. Gorgon Halo also lifts the memory ceiling from 128GB on Strix Halo to 192GB of LPDDR5X-8533, with up to 160GB configurable as graphics memory, inside a 45W to 120W TDP envelope.
The leaked EVO-X5 sample appears to have 128GB installed. The benchmark recorded a maximum CPU frequency of 5.24 GHz and a Vulkan score of 103,729. Geekbench still labels the processor codename as Strix Halo, while AMD officially identifies the PRO 495 as Gorgon Halo. GMKtec had already said the EVO-X3 would offer this processor with up to 192GB later this year — the EVO-X5 suggests a second Gorgon Halo system is in the works.
There is no official EVO-X5 announcement, so design, memory configurations, pricing and launch date remain unknown. For anyone running local AI workloads, the interesting part is the ceiling this class of mini-PC opens up: up to 192GB of unified memory with a Radeon iGPU is no longer entry-level hardware.
